Kite surfing: Aberdyfi Wind Direction: NNW Wind Stength: Force 6, occ 7 Surf / Sea State: messy chop Air Temperature: Chilly nose Sea Temperature: OK Weather: sun Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Decided to take some holiday, and so as blue sky and medium winds were
forecasted, came over to Aberdyfi.
So much for the forecast!, ended up force 6, occ 7 NNW. Launched Shem on
his 9m Trix, and then sorted my kite out. Was not happy with the lines,
they kept getting tangled by the wind. Not a good start.
Eventually got the kite up (thanks Shem for launching), and had a brilliant
session. Slightly underpowered - had to sine the kite most of the time,
but during the gusts could park the kite and off like a rocket. Ended up
wishing for the gusts to become constant. Had to concentrate on keeping
board speed through the messy chop. Did some toeside and a few little
jumps and this time got the kite timing correct, so landed with some power
to keep me planing.
Well pleased - every time I go out, I'm improving in one or two aspects.
Came off the water just as the sun was setting.
